Las Sendas earned the Firewise USA Designation from the National Fire Prevention Association in 2021. We were the first community in Mesa to participate in this program. Every year, we prioritize the removal of dry and fallen vegetation to maintain this designation.
In the last 4 years, we’ve spent $636k to remove excess vegetation from common areas to help protect our community. $120k of this was achieved with help from a grant we received from the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management.
Every year we offer education opportunities so residents can learn more about how to protect their homes. One option is to attend our Heroes Day event, on October 19.
