He worked as a newspaper delivery boy, then apprenticed for a shoemaker, florist, and grocery store produce department. Bob graduated from Hirsch High School, then joined the US Navy. He attended aviation electronics training and was assigned to Fighter Squadrons VF53 and VF143 servicing F3B & F4B fighters. During this time, he was elected to a city council seat, and assigned as police commissioner. After completing the project, he returned to IBM to complete his 30-year stint.
Upon retiring from IBM, he formed a corporation offering education services to various corporations. He now is focused on the Las Sendas Community Association.
