Monsoon Notice
Posted on Aug 5, 2026

Monsoon season is here! It's the time of year when it rains sideways, chairs go flying, and your yard turns into a weed jungle overnight. Here’s a quick guide to surviving the season (or at least not chasing your trampoline down the street).

  1. Secure loose items. Trampolines, patio furniture, umbrellas, pool flotation devices … if it’s not tied down, it may go for a ride.
  2. Trim trees & branches. Overhanging limbs + high winds = yard damage waiting to happen.
  3. Clear gutters & drains. Flooded walkways aren’t fun. Neither are indoor waterfalls.
  4. Expect weeds! Rain = weeds. Pull them while the ground’s soft, and they come out easily!

What to Expect After a Storm

Following a major storm, our maintenance team may need to triage damage.

  1. Safety comes first. Immediate hazards and blocked roads are addressed before non-emergency cleanup.
  2. Work may be done in phases. Branches and other items may be moved first to reopen roads and common areas. The team will return later to complete the work, and/or vendors will be scheduled to assist.
  3. Response times may vary. With a limited maintenance staff, maintenance requests may take longer after a storm.
