Monsoon season is here! It's the time of year when it rains sideways, chairs go flying, and your yard turns into a weed jungle overnight. Here’s a quick guide to surviving the season (or at least not chasing your trampoline down the street).
- Secure loose items. Trampolines, patio furniture, umbrellas, pool flotation devices … if it’s not tied down, it may go for a ride.
- Trim trees & branches. Overhanging limbs + high winds = yard damage waiting to happen.
- Clear gutters & drains. Flooded walkways aren’t fun. Neither are indoor waterfalls.
- Expect weeds! Rain = weeds. Pull them while the ground’s soft, and they come out easily!

What to Expect After a Storm
Following a major storm, our maintenance team may need to triage damage.
- Safety comes first. Immediate hazards and blocked roads are addressed before non-emergency cleanup.
- Work may be done in phases. Branches and other items may be moved first to reopen roads and common areas. The team will return later to complete the work, and/or vendors will be scheduled to assist.
- Response times may vary. With a limited maintenance staff, maintenance requests may take longer after a storm.
